Terms of Service

Welcome to Ascend ("Ascend", "we", "us", or "our"). Ascend is an AI-powered facial aesthetics and grooming guidance app operated by Ascend Coach Online. By downloading, installing, or using the Ascend application — including through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Ascend. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using Ascend, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

Ascend provides AI-powered analysis of facial photos to generate aesthetic scores across categories such as jawline, skin quality, eye area, symmetry, and cheekbones. The service also offers a personalized AI Coach, a 75-Day Transformation Protocol, daily routines, and gamification features. Results are provided strictly for grooming and lifestyle guidance purposes. They do not constitute medical advice, professional consultation, or a clinical assessment of any kind.

You must create an account via Clerk (our authentication provider) using a valid email address or supported OAuth provider. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately at supportchronicai@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Ascend offers a Pro subscription and a one-time 75 Transformation purchase. On Android, all in-app purchases are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing. On iOS, purchases are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. On web, purchases are processed through Razorpay (India) or Dodo Payments (global). Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings (Play Store → Account → Subscriptions) or your Apple ID settings.

Free Trial: If a free trial is offered, unused portions will be forfeited upon purchase of a subscription.

Price Changes: We may change subscription prices. You will be notified in advance and your subscription will continue at the current price until your next renewal date.

For purchases made through Google Play, refunds are governed by the Google Play refund policy. For Apple App Store purchases, refunds are governed by Apple's standard refund policy. For web purchases via Razorpay or Dodo Payments, refund requests may be submitted to supportchronicai@gmail.com within 7 days of purchase and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

When you upload facial photos for analysis, you grant Ascend a limited, non-exclusive license to process those photos for the purpose of generating your score results. We do not:

• Use your photos to train AI models
• Sell or share your photos with advertisers or third parties
• Store your photos longer than 90 days after deletion or account closure
• Use facial data for identification, surveillance, or advertising targeting

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any photo you submit. Do not upload photos of other people without their consent.

• Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
• Using automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service
• Uploading photos of minors without parental consent
• Submitting false information or impersonating another person
• Using Ascend for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempting to circumvent or disable payment systems or access controls

All content, features, and functionality within Ascend — including but not limited to the AI scoring engine, UI/UX design, branding, and coaching content — are the exclusive property of Ascend Coach Online and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Ascend is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI scores are medically or scientifically accurate. Facial scores are for grooming and aesthetic guidance only and reflect AI pattern recognition — not objective truth, medical assessment, or clinical evaluation.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ascend and its founders, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold Ascend harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate your access to Ascend at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. You may also delete your account at any time from the Profile page within the app.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Ascend after that date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
